Why Is My Playlist Muted by Default?
If your playlist starts playing without sound, this behavior is expected.
Most modern browsers and TV platforms automatically block videos from autoplaying with sound unless the user has interacted with the page or app first. This policy helps prevent unexpected or disruptive audio when content loads automatically.
Because of this industry rule, playlists in Juuno start muted by default when they begin playing.
How to Enable Sound
To enable audio:
While Juuno is playing your content
Click or tap to open the player panel
In the player panel, click or tap the speaker icon to Unmute
Once unmuted, the playlist will continue playing with audio normally.
When You May Need to Unmute Again
You may need to unmute the playlist again in the following situations:
The app is closed and reopened
or the app refreshes or reloads
In these cases, simply click the speaker icon again in the player panel to unmute again to restore audio.
Why This Happens
Major browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox enforce autoplay policies that require videos to start muted unless the user has interacted with the site or app.
These restrictions apply across many web platforms and devices, which is why Juuno follows the same behavior.
