When to use Schedules
Schedules let you automate when different playlists appear on your screens. Instead of manually switching content throughout the day or week, schedules handle the transitions for you based on time, date, or day of the week.
When to create a schedule
Use schedules when you need to:
Show different content at different times — Breakfast menu until noon, lunch menu until 5pm, dinner menu after
Adjust for business hours — Promotional content during open hours, closed signage after hours
Vary content by day of the week — Weekend specials on Saturdays and Sundays, weekday announcements Monday through Friday
Plan seasonal or event-based content — Holiday playlists for specific date ranges
Common use cases
Schedules are essential for:
Room booking displays — Conference rooms, classrooms, and medical offices showing daily timetables
Shift-based businesses — Gyms, cafes, and retail with morning/afternoon/evening content
Multi-location teams — Different content for each location's local hours and events
Schools and offices — Class schedules during term time, holiday messages during breaks
You can create different schedules for different days of the week.
Schedules vs Playlists
Playlists define what content plays.
Schedules define when playlists play.
You always need a playlist first—then use a schedule to assign it to specific times or days.
If your content doesn't change based on time, skip schedules and assign your playlist directly to the screen.
